The Classic Plus Coffee Maker from the Norwegian brand Wilfa brews filter coffee in the traditional manner but removes the labour usually associated with the best filter coffee.
Simply fill the water tank with fresh water, place a paper filter into the filter holder and put in the desired amount of ground coffee. Press the ‘Wilfa’ button on the base and the brewer will heat the water and then distribute it evenly over the coffee which drips into the carafe below.
You can regulate the flow into the carafe depending on how strong you want your coffee. You can keep it ‘closed’ for a short time to allow the coffee to brew more and then 'open' to release the flow. This manual drip-stopper will also prevent coffee from dripping onto the hotplate when the carafe is removed.
The Classic Plus achieves optimal water temperature of between 92°-96°C quickly. In less than 10 minutes, you'll have 1 to 10 cups of coffee ready to drink and enjoy. The hotplate remains on to keep the coffee warm for 40 mins, after which it shuts itself off.
