Product Details
Made in Germany, the HORL 3 knife sharpener is efficient, precise, and built to last a lifetime. Using it is simple: Attach a knife, blade side up, to the magnetic angle support, and roll the sharpener against the entire length of the blade a few times to sharpen and hone the edge. Repeat for the other side, and voilà; professional-grade results, with very little effort.
This upgrade from the HORL 2 knife sharpener has an enhanced black diamond sharpening disc, which provides significantly faster and more uniform results; along with a ceramic honing whetstone disc that is suitable for even the finest Japanese knives. The sharpening and honing discs on the HORL 3 are attached to the rolling mechanism with a Quick Lock system that easily twists off, so you can swap them for higher-grit whetstone discs for more refined sharpening, or a lower-grit diamond whetstone disc for repairing chipped blades (sold separately or part of our HORL 3 walnut bundles). The magnetic angle support comes with a 15° angle for Japanese knives, and a 20° angle for Western knives. The magnets have 70% more grip, so small paring knives can stay securely in place with minimal movement as you sharpen and hone. This knife sharpener’s finish is made from solid American walnut wood. It is built to last a lifetime.
HORL products can only be shipped within the UK.
Why we love it
‘A knife sharpener is one of the most important yet most overlooked tools in the kitchen, and HORL 3 knife sharpeners are here to change that. Quick, user-friendly, and ultra-precise, they are engineered in a way that vastly shrinks the margin of human error. No other brand’s rolling sharpeners deliver HORL’s results, and that comes down to craftsmanship.'

About The Brand
HORL 1993
Timo and Otmar Horl, the father-and-son duo behind HORL 1993 had a singular vision: bring professional standards of knife sharpening to the home cook, simplified. What began at a home cellar is now a fully-staffed workshop in Germany’s Black Forest where every aspect of the manufacturing process is done locally, from steel melding to laser engraving.
