Product Details
Made in Portugal since 1951, Silampos pans anticipate the needs of home cooks. These casseroles are clad, from base to rim, with three layers of metal: non-reactive and induction-compatible stainless steel on the outside with a core of heat-responsive aluminium. This construction heats food uniformly and retains that heat well. The stainless steel is polished on the outside for a mirror finish and brushed on the inside. The oversized handles make it easy to manoeuvre and a curved rim prevents liquids from trailing along the side of the pan when pouring. The tight-fitting lids include a tall and wide handle that’s easy to lift. This casserole is oven-compatible up to 200ºC and dishwasher-safe, though hand-washing will extend its durability. Ideal for a myriad of tasks, from making batches of sauces—especially ones with acidic ingredients like tomatoes or citrus—as well as pasta, curries, stews, beans, and much more.
This versatile set includes 16cm, 18cm, and 20cm casserole pans with lids.

Why we love it
‘Silampos pans are full of little details that let me focus on the food, not the vessel; like the curved rim that stops sauce from dripping and the wide-handled lid that’s easy to grasp, especially if you’re holding a tea towel.’
