This light, razor-sharp Opinel Parallèle No.116 Bread Knife glides through any bread with ease. It produces straight, clean slices at any thickness you desire, and won’t squash your loaf. Its curved shape makes for a comfortable cutting action and allows you to get leverage on the tough crust at the bottom of sourdough and other crusty loaves. The stainless steel blade is extremely resilient to rust. It is fitted with a comfortable beech wood handle covered in a protective varnish to make it moisture-resistant.

About The Brand
Opinel
Joseph Opinel began producing knives in a French town called Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in 1890. By the early 20th century, Opinel had already become a household name—one that is synonymous with exceptionally practical knives for everyday and specialist kitchen use. Today the company is run by Joseph Opinel’s great grandsons, and all their products are still made in France. Featuring natural wooden handles, precision-shaped blades, and signature safety locking mechanisms, these knives are crafted for a lifetime of daily use.
