About The Brand
Opinel
Joseph Opinel began producing knives in a French town called Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in 1890. By the early 20th century, Opinel had already become a household name—one that is synonymous with exceptionally practical knives for everyday and specialist kitchen use. Today the company is run by Joseph Opinel’s great grandsons, and all their products are still made in France. Featuring natural wooden handles, precision-shaped blades, and signature safety locking mechanisms, these knives are crafted for a lifetime of daily use.
