Product Details
Lodge, America’s oldest cast iron manufacturer, is recognised around the world for its reliable, virtually indestructible cast iron skillets. This skillet from their chef-inspired collection retains the key features of their famous pans, like its ability to retain heat beautifully, lending perfectly browned exteriors to a variety of foods from pizza to scallops to courgettes, and how it comes pre-seasoned. It can go in the oven, on all hobs including induction, and over the barbecue. A few new features set this collection apart: larger pour spouts, for pouring out sauce that collects at the base of the pan; sloped sides rather than the straight edges for easier turning of food inside the pan; and elongated handles that arch more naturally with the shape of the hand as well as stay cooler than the original handles. This pan comes pre-seasoned, but like all cast iron, it has to be seasoned and maintained; read how to do that here.
Note: Because Lodge pans are made using a traditional sand-moulding technique and undergo pre-seasoning before reaching you, there may be minor cosmetic imperfections such as pinholes or smudges on the surface. These are considered normal and do not affect the performance of the pans. The diameter refers to the rim of pan.
