Product Details

An interchangeable disc that affixes to the roller of HORL 3 or HORL 3 Pro knife sharpeners (not the HORL 3 Cruise), this standard ceramic honing disc is a replacement part. In a complex blasting process, the ceramic particles are applied to the stainless steel base of the disc at high temperatures and high speed. This results in a material that is best suited to putting an edge on Western or Japanese knives, either on its own (for moderately blunt blades) or after sharpening with a coarse grit (to re-align the edge). To use, simply unlock an existing disc from a compatible HORL 3 roller, replace it with this one, and sharpen. It is easy to unlock and reattach, thanks to a Quick Lock system that makes the process smooth. The compact size makes it easy to store.

Please note HORL products can only be shipped within the UK.

Why we love it

'A knife sharpener is one of the most important yet most overlooked tools in the kitchen, and HORL 3 knife sharpeners are here to change that. Quick, user-friendly, and ultra-precise, they are engineered in a way that vastly shrinks the margin of human error. No other brand’s rolling sharpeners deliver HORL’s results, and that comes down to craftsmanship.'

About The Brand

HORL 1993

Timo and Otmar Horl, the father-and-son duo behind HORL 1993 had a singular vision: bring professional standards of knife sharpening to the home cook, simplified. What began at a home cellar is now a fully-staffed workshop in Germany’s Black Forest where every aspect of the manufacturing process is done locally, from steel melding to laser engraving.
