A family-owned Slovenian company specialising in handmade wooden kitchen tools since 1990 produces the Borough Kitchen Round Pastry Brush. The cherry wood handle is comfortable to hold, and the pig bristle brush is softer and more supple than synthetic. Over time, you may lose a few bristles, but this natural material will hold more liquid for basting and will spread thin sauces and glazes more efficiently than silicone.
