Product Details
This Heritage Carbon Steel Frying Pan from Alex Pole is one of a kind. Made from spun carbon steel, it has a thinner and lighter construction than traditional carbon steel or cast iron, but with the same incredible searing power and durability. This pan heats quickly and retains high levels of heat – which translates to the perfect browning of meat, seafood and vegetables. Best of all, over time – and with proper care and maintenance – this pan develops a 'patina' that resists food sticking to the surface, providing a sustainable alternative to non-stick cookware. This pan comes pre-seasoned, so it is ready to use straight out of the box. However, we recommend seasoning it before use anyway, to kick-start the process of making it easy-release. (For more info on how to season and maintain carbon steel, see our guide here.) The handle of this carbon steel frying pan is made of forged stainless steel, which allows it to stay cool as you cook. It is secured to the pan with copper rivets, a wonderful aesthetic detail. It is suitable for use on all hobs including induction, as well as in the oven and on the barbecue. Proudly made in Dorset and backed by a 100-year warranty, an Alex Pole carbon steel frying pan is a lifetime investment that only gets better with time.

Why we love it
'Alex Pole has done something very special by making a thinner, spun version of carbon steel, and fixing it with comfortable stainless steel handles that stay cool as you cook. We love that the pan has such a smooth finish, straight out of the box – this kickstarts the "patina" of the pan so it becomes more easy-release with time.'
